Digital Images of the early Romanesque Abbey of St.-Martin du Canigou may be licensed for non-profit educational purposes. The price for a perpetual non-transferable licensed for use in teaching is $5.50 per image or $5.00 per image if an entire set is acquired. When ordering a complete set, do not include in the price images marked with the "►" symbol -- mainly black and white versions of color images or peripheral subjects. These are included at no cost and are not available individually. The entire set is, therefore, composed of 27 images for purchase ($135.00). When ordering individual images, b&w companions marked "►" are included at no cost with each corresponding color image ordered. Minimum order is five (5) images. Images will be delivered on CD-ROM. Visual resource curators are requested to refer to the corresponding web-page for identifications. There is no charge for shipping CD-ROMs. Orders must be paid by institutional check and be accompanied by purchase orders.

Images are supplied, as shown, and are limited to 1500 pixels along their largest dimension. Larger sized images and scanning up to 4000ppi are available upon special request.

Images acquired are limited for use by the institution or campus (whichever is smaller) for which they are purchased. They are licensed to be placed on a campus secure server for controlled use for specific courses and their registered students. Other individuals may be referred to this website. Thumbnail images may be taken without attribution. Display enlargements on this site, often limited to 480 or 640 pixels, may be used by students for papers and research without requesting permission, but must include attribution, including copyright information. It would be useful if is informed of any student use.

When placed on institutional servers, an effort should be made to utilize the filenames used for the delivered images. If that is not possible, original filenames should be included in a searchable field. In addition, image source, copyright and image attribution should accompany the record as well as the location of these terms of license.

Notes:

 Black and white (monochrome) images, when accompanying color versions, have been specifically adjusted to limit the effects of chromatic elements that may hinder the perception of form. The contrast and dynamic range have been adjusted for maximum clarity.

Selection of images in this series may include examples in which the photographic qualities have been compromised. Images are chosen by their ability to communicate teaching content and are tested full-frame on a 1600x1200pixel display.
